We are pleased to welcome Maria Shilova as a new member of the CCBRE team. With her experience in the field of pollution and microplastics, as well as her strong interest in innovation and international collaboration, she will contribute to the development of our scientific and professional initiatives. As a PhD candidate at the university, Maria will have the opportunity to explore the issue of microplastics and seek solutions related to soil pollution. Her alternative and interdisciplinary approach to this global challenge convinced us that she is a valuable and well-suited addition to our team. Before joining us, Maria developed her master’s thesis focusing on the chemical and physical properties of soils in areas surrounding urban settlements. Through her research, she identified that soil pollution, particularly in roadside and urban areas, contains significant amounts of microplastics. At CCBRE, we believe that her scientific approach and motivation can contribute to a better understanding of how micro- and macroplastic particles migrate between different soil environments.
We know that Maria will become an important part of our mission for sustainable development, innovation, and an environmentally oriented approach to the circular economy. We look forward to seeing her in action and working together on our future initiatives and projects.
