The Center for Clean Technologies and Efficient Use of Biomass (CCBRE) and the Academy for Sustainable Innovation and Scientific Research Foundation are jointly organizing Summer School 2026—a two-phase international professional development program to be held in Plovdiv (Bulgaria) and Switzerland. The program combines industrial project management, strategic marketing, academic writing, and communication skills.

Under the motto “Local roots. Global vision. Smart science.” The Center for Clean Technologies and Efficient Use of Biomass (CCBRE) at the Agricultural University of Plovdiv, in collaboration with the "Academy for Sustainable Innovation and Scientific Research" Foundation, is organizing Summer School 2026—an international professional development program held in two phases: in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, and in Switzerland.
The program is aimed at researchers, doctoral students, specialists, and professionals who wish to develop both management and communication skills as well as academic competencies applicable in both science and industry.

Day 1 | June 19, 2026 | Plovdiv, Bulgaria — Industrial Project Management The first day takes place at CCBRE at the Agricultural University of Plovdiv (Trakiya, 12 Mendeleev St., 4000 Plovdiv) and is dedicated to industrial project management. The lecturers are Dimitar Boyanski—managing partner at QDC Bulgaria, member of the Board of Directors of Green Silicon Carbide Manufacturing, CEO of RFS Invest Holding, and an expert in the green transition and modern technologies—and Prof. Dr. Konstantin Tyle, former Chief Marketing Officer of the Swatch Group (Switzerland), visiting lecturer at Cambridge Judge Business School and professor at ESB Business School at the University of Reutlingen. The day includes three modules on project management, followed by an introduction to strategic marketing.

Day 2 | September 7, 2026 | Switzerland — Academic Writing The second day takes place at IBRE at FHNW — University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland, and is dedicated to academic writing. The lecturer is Prof. Dr. Lindsay Norwood, Professor of Tropical Crop Systems at BFH-HAFL (Bern University of Applied Sciences), with over 30 years of experience in research and teaching, over 100 peer-reviewed publications, and international experience at the UN and Council of Europe levels.

Day 3 | September 8, 2026 | Switzerland — Communication and Presentation The third day, again at IBRE at FHNW, builds on the program with communication and presentation skills—also led by Prof. Norwood.
